Our Story

In February of 2020, I was in Sydney and whilst there, I visited my friend Joe. And... Little did I know, but "ol" mate Joe happened to be a pit smoker on the competition circuit and was also sporting a remarkable collection of 33 different Webbers and 4 other various smokers. Although it was impressive, I thought he was crazy.

Then, at lunch, he placed Smoked Beef Brisket, Beef Ribs and Baby Back Pork Ribs on the table.

WOW.. And I really mean WOW.. Blown away was an understatement.. Now.. I had been cooking for 30 odd years, yet till that day I had never experienced anything quite like American Texas Smoked BBQ.

Immediately, another passion was born in me. The joy and frustration of learning the craft of true Texas BBQ had begun.

Using my years of culinary experience and satisfaction of making food for myself and loved ones, GSB's menu is intensely flavourful, condiment balanced, pallet filling and furthermore represents REAL FOOD FOR REAL PEOPLE, the old fashioned way!
